I'm trying to search good recent movies, but the UI keeps displaying movies of any date.

If your country setting is not the United States, try unchecking the "Search all releases?" checkbox. You are probably getting country specific releases that happened after the original theatrical release.

All the listed movies have at least one release date during the period you have indicated.
For example, Que Horas Ela Volta? (2015) which was originally released in 2015 has been digitally released in Brasil in 2021.

I have the same issue on my iPad using Safari. I tried unchecking the “Search all releases?” and it did not help. https://ibb.co/JQ7KD3L

@vchircov, upon looking at the first few items, they all had either a theatrical or theatrical (limited) release date in the US within your search window.

Same as above.
All the listed movies have at least one theatrical or theatrical (limited) release date in the United States during the period you have indicated.
Unchecking “Search all releases?” indicate that it should only check the release dates of the type you have listed.

Alright, but I want to filter out movies that first came out before the dates specified, is it possible? Seems like the “Release Dates” “From” & “To” filters do not do that if there are movies that released again in later years after they came out for the first time.

I suppose what you're looking for is a "primary release date" filter which we do not have on the website at this time. I've created a new ticket for this here.
