Dear TMDb Support Team,
I am writing to request the addition of Kurdish (Sorani) as a supported language for translations on TMDb. Kurdish, particularly the Sorani dialect, is spoken by millions of people worldwide.
Including Sorani as a separate translation option would greatly benefit the Kurdish community. It would allow them to contribute translations specific to the Sorani dialect, enhancing the user experience for Kurdish viewers.
Currently, attempting to translate any movie/show title or description to Kurdish results in an "Oops! We can't find the page you're looking for" error. This highlights the need for Sorani as a distinct translation language.
While I understand TMDb uses ISO standards for languages, including Sorani as a separate option would significantly improve accessibility for the Kurdish community.
I would be happy to provide any additional information or resources that might be helpful in considering this request.
Thank you for your time and consideration.
Sincerely,
Muhammad Bayiz

Yeah this is a bug and will happen most of the time you click on "edit" and then "create translation". The generated URL is wrong as I stated out here.

Hey @Mohamad1Bayz,
I don't mind adding it to the list of formal translations in the least. Before I do, I just need the clarify what the default value pair should be.
ku-KU
is not valid, and I think it needs to beku-IQ
, right? Looks like Iraq is the correct primary country.Reply by Muhammad Bayiz

That's correct
ku-IQ
is the right one. Thanks for considering my request. Appreciate it! Sorry about my late reply.
