The Movie Database Support

Hi, Great UI , Great JOB ! COngratulations.

Just my 2 cents: FYI , when editing/modifying EPISODES of a SERIE . i.e. /season/1/episode/1/edit?active_nav_item=primary_facts
in the "Translated Overview" field for example, the modifications done are NOT counted towards the total number of contributions.

Best wishes Emmanuel

Do you mean it does not count in your total edit count (at the moment 7149) or do you mean it does not appear in the main changelog of the series? I've seen that too lately it won't log that "season 1" edit anymore if you just change some minor stuff. The change still counts to the change log of the episode- and maybe season-changelog and definitely to your total number. I am not very into TV editing myself so there are many questionmarks on my side too but I think that's what you meant?

Both actually !

Actually, even when adding NEW TRANSLATIONS, the total edit count is NOT affected

Everything works fine on that great website BUT editing the EPISODES of series

Another try, so you can check the logs that are going to be generated in the following minutes:

Translating the TITLES of the Episodes: (total count 7157 as seen here https://www.themoviedb.org/u/EmmanuelSimond )

https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/108388-the-great-acceleration/season/1/episode/1/edit?active_nav_item=primary_facts&language=fr

... TRANSLATING the TITLE now ...

Hope it helps

Emmanuel

Ooops ! OK, sure the total count has been updated acordingly when ADDING new TITLES (i.e. adding a new Translation)

Maybe it works better when using that form / that URL ?

https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/108388-the-great-acceleration/season/1/edit?active_nav_item=episodes&language=fr

I mean, there are 2 differents ways to edit the texts of the EPISODES of a serie :

From the link here above , working fine, any input field, even for slight corrections,

or from this URL https://www.themoviedb.org/tv/108388-the-great-acceleration/season/1?language=fr where we have to click on Expand prior to Edit .

Hope it helps

P.S: Btw, I don't know who coded this website, but it's a very nice piece or work , IMHO (as a 'retired' backoffice PHP developer)

Keep pushing and BIG CONGRATULATIONS to all of you

Best Regards Emmanuel

Changes made today do not appear in the change log :

Changes on episode and season level do not appear there. It will only come this entry that appears this time too like "{"season_id":160657,"season_number":1}". This is normal, otherwise the changelog would get flooded. This way its seperated in three floors and that {"season_id":160657,"season_number":1} - change correctly indicates you've done somethign in season 1. While the season level log tells me you've done something to some peisodes. Only the episode change log of each episode will tell me what exactly got changed.
