Can you please start banning people that put incorrect data on purpose? Not every episode of a TV show is its own movie. TV seasons are not 11 hour movies. The same people keep doing this over and over again.

We actually ban people for vandalism if we notice. So please report it every time you see something like that.

Hello,
I'm not sure if you're coming from Letterboxd, but I should also mention that TV shows listed as movies on Letterboxd generally aren't reflected here. They've opted to include miniseries (usually) and categorize them as movies. Currently, there are nearly 13,000 entries marked as TV shows.
If you want TV shows to be listed properly there you can upvote this feature request.

Rayleigh, actually I usually come hear through the TMDB link in radarr after I notice something weird happens. Like the other day every single season of American Horror Story showed up as stand alone 11hr movies. When I went to report them, they were all added by the same person. I have also seen people adding the show Peacemaker with John Cena over and over. One time someone even added a movie to be released in 2025, starring a new young star around 10 years old, directed by a director that has been dead for 15 years.

Trying to ban someone today is like plowing the sand. A new account could be created in a minute and IP restrictions could be circumvented with VPN or proxy. While I share your frustration, there's really no way to prevent that, and unless someone dedicates all their time to thoroughly checking every new entry and deleting all dupes immediately upon creation they will stay in the database until someone reports. I guess kicking the letterboxd devs to add proper support for TV shows will have more effect than trying to catch all idjits forcing square pegs into round holes.

To be fair it's not LB's fault if people can't choose a service that covers their needs the best. To complain/vandalize at TMDB for not allowing TV episodes as movies will lead to nothing and complaining at LB to add TV shows at a movie DB will hopefully also lead to nothing. Yes, TV is a similar product and while I see the idea in having both at one place, the difference between them is just too big. I can't see an implementation of TV on LB ending out well

Better yet, downvote it.
If Letterboxd stopped dithering and announced that they won't bastardize their service by including TV shows, fewer people would be manipulating/vandalizing TMDb so that bogus entries could be imported to LB.
