חברים מחייכים בע"מ היא חברה קטנה שמטרתה העיקרית היא להביא אושר ולגרום לאנשים לחייך. הסדרה עוקבת אחר חיי היום-יום וההרפתקאות של נציגיה, צ'רלי העצלן, הציני, ופים העליז והאופטימי, כשהם מנסים לעודד ולנחם את האנשים הבעייתיים שמתקשרים למוקד של החברה שלהם. הם מקבלים בקשות פשוטות לכאורה, אבל העבודות מתבררות כמסובכות יותר ממה שהן נראות, מה שמקשה להביא אושר לעולם.
