Discuss The Walking Dead

Jadis. Interesting name. It's the name of the White Witch from C.S. Lewis's The Chronicles of Narnia. I wonder if that was deliberate.

I was wondering if she was going to be Alpha from the comics but I guess not wonder if they will bring that character in

I bet we see the Whisperers at some point in the future, but probably not until after their war with Negan. The Trash People don't really have an equivalent in the comics that I can think of. Little twists like that are nice. They might be a good transition for the audience to the Whisperers. This group seems the most changed by the zombie apocalypse what with their own society, mannerisms, and way of speaking. They almost seem like something out of Mad Max.

Yes!! I saw a lot of talk on twitter tonight that they remind ppl of Maddie Max. Do you think Tara will show rick that women's group they have guns

Will Tara break her word to Oceanside? Good question. I mean they do REALLY need those guns if they're ever going to get out from under the Saviors' thumb.

They do need them there's no other way they're getting guns unless they take from the kingdom and finally convince the Kingdom to join them

Yeah, and while the Kingdom has some firearms, they may not have an arsenal like Oceanside. The Kingdom seems to rely a lot on bows and arrows and other medieval type weaponry.

Of course she will. You can see that coming from a mile away.

Jadis (Pollyanna McIntosh) also played Angel in Hap and Leonard.

An Oceansider could always show up, or someone their leader thought was dead (like her son) may escape from the Saviors and give Tara the chance to break her word without feeling guilty. The Alliance needs guns. Oceanside's residents are the only ones left besides Negan who seem to have a massive arsenal and plenty of ammo. It is kind of a no-brainer that they become involved pretty soon. Rick probably can't keep his deal otherwise.

i mean Tara was always going to break her word with Oceanshide otherwise they wouldn't have included that horrible episode.

It is unfortunate though when stuff like this happens, even if it is inevitable.

Pollyanna McIntosh is so beautiful in real life. She looks like she could be Milla Jovovich's sister. Her awesome legs had me in a trance during Talking Dead.

And yeah, it's pretty obvious they chose names for themselves. "Jadis", "Tamiel"... those couldn't have been their names before the apocalypse.

I saw her in The Woman and she was pretty harsh looking. Then I saw her recently in Halloween Horror Tales (?) on Netflix and she was smoking hot. Her Jadis character is somewhere in between.

She was really quite stunning on Talking Dead last Sunday. Reminded me a bit of Milla Jovovich.

They seemed odd and out of place, like they'd be more at home in a fantasy tale like Narnia or Neverwhere or something than in TWD [giveup]. The others had weird, fantasy-ish sounding names too. I would've automatically liked them much more had they started talking TV like the Junkions in Transformers: The Movie, but as is, I'm apathetic.
