Note:

Originally season 6 consisted of 13 episodes. The episode "Fit to Be Tied" would've been season 6 episode 12, and the next and last episode of the season "Whatever Remains, However Improbable" was season 6 episode 13.

After 8 more episodes were ordered, these were added after season 6 episode 11 ("You've Come a Long Way, Baby").

The number of the episode "Fit to Be Tied" was changed from S6E 12 to S6E 20, and that of "Whatever Remains, However Improbable" from S6E 13 to S6 21.

So if they'd shown the episodes in the original intended order (with only 13 episodes), the last three episodes of season 6 would've been:

• S6E11 "You've Come a Long Way, Baby"

• S6E12 (now S6E20) "Fit to Be Tied"

• S6E13 (now S6E21) "Whatever Remains, However Improbable"

Looking at it this way, you might get an idea what to expect in the season finale. relaxed

Season 6 was written and produced as a possible series finale if the show would've been cancelled.

It would have been a bittersweet ending with Sherlock Holmes returning home to London with Waton.

"You know, you were a better partner in New York."
"We're not partners."
"We're two people who love each other."
"Well, you realize I only said that 'cause I thought we'd never see each other again."
"I'm still not sure about this, you know."
"Us."
"Here."
"Really? That's funny, because I feel like we're exactly where we're supposed to be."

The Stone Roses - This Is The One

They finished filming the sixth season in April 2018. Then in May 2018 it was announced that the show would be renewed.

Production of season 7 has already started in July 11, 2018.

So, will Joan Watson (Lucy Liu) be blonde then... wink
