Yes very strange. The episode is now part of the specials folder. In my opinion not logical to move it to specials, how do viewers know there are more main story parts after ep28? (exactly your problem now) Eventually it didn't end in ep28... . True it's called 'special' 1, but it combines 3 episodes of the manga.

Yeah and still marketed as Part 3.

It's an unfortunate case but it was moved to the Specials season because the episode is currently unnumbered on the anime's official site.

Always "questionable" choices...

well technically it's not numbered in the absolute count, since there is no official count for seasons, from a certain point of view it wouldn't be a problem to put the two final cours in season 4 🙄😂

All unnumbered episodes should be put in the specials season.

it's true that it's not numbered but still, advertisingly it's part of season 4, as opposed to all the other specials, which are stand alone, in fact both the official website and crunchyroll put these cour in season 4, the logic of not numbered doesn't make sense in my opinion, because in the official numbering, there are no seasons, so following this logic we should delete the seasons (2 to 4) and put everything in one

Yup, this anime is already on our list of anime that need to be merged so what I emphasized in your reply is already planned. As only the admin can do this, it will happen at some point in the future.

this makes even less sense (for me) but at least it is coherent, and if this is the will of the admins, I respect it. even if in total opposition to the other dbs

what I emphasized in your reply is already planned

Can you give more context as to why Attack on Titan would become just one season? The show itself clearly splits itself into seasons by most definitions, with each and every episode having the show's logo pop up with "Season 2, 3, or Final" under it. Isn't the show itself saying that there are seasons enough to consider it multiple seasons instead of a continuous series?

No, this is the reverse. The fact that the episodes are numbered continuously on the official site imply that we should list them in one single season.

The official site is only putting in episodes from 60 as that's what the final season is considered to consist of, and the phrase "The Final Season" is in the upper left hand corner. With all respect to the mods as I am just confused, what are seasons if they're not clumps of episodes that the studio separates into numbered seasons?

the problem is that officially both single season and division into 4 are valid, because the site counts them in total but also divides them by season, not to mention that even productively they are separate. my humble opinion is to divide the seasons as they are officially divided (so the two finals in season 4) and put the "absolute version" in the "episode groups" as it is now.
