Conrad Hurley, a disgruntled electrician fired by the town council, goes into the bank with a shotgun and a revolver, tries to rob it, and takes everyone present (including Sara) hostage. Waiting outside for Sara, Johnny gets a vision of a future massacre and goes in to try to alter the future he perceives. Guided by his visions and scrambling wildly to adapt to the altering futures he keeps seeing in which he dies, Sara dies, Conrad dies, and/or everyone dies each time he changes something, Johnny soon becomes Conrad's unlikely ally. Finally Johnny manages to earn Conrad's trust and manage to talk him into releasing the hostages and giving himself up.

Parmi d'autres personnes, Sarah est prise en otage par un homme armé qui vient récemment d'être licencié par le directeur de la banque. Johnny a la vision de Sarah en danger de mort et aussitôt il vole à son secours en se proposant comme otage. Mais très vite, Johnny a des prémonitions qui lui montrent que la prise d'otage va tourner en bain de sang. Il se donne alors pour mission de changer le cours des événements...

Johnny begleitet Sarah, die noch ein Geschäft bei ihrer Bank erledigen will. Da sieht er in einer Vision einen Banküberfall voraus. Noch bevor Johnny richtig reagieren kann, überfällt der mittellose Conrad Hurley die Filiale. Johnny wird, wie die anderen Kunden auch, als Geisel genommen. Eine weitere Vision offenbart Johnny unterdessen den schrecklichen Ausgang des Überfalls: viele tote Menschen, darunter auch Sarah und er selbst.

Johnny a bankfiók előtt várakozik, ahová Sarah beugrott egy pillanatra. Conrad Hurley, un electricista dolido porque en su día fue despedido de su trabajo, acude al banco cargado con una pistola y un revolver, y toma a todos los presentes como rehenes (incluida Sara). Fuera del banco, Johnny, que espera a Saram tiene una visión de la futura masacre y entra para intentar alterar el futuro que ha percibido. Totalmente confundido Johnny sigue viendo como él morirá, y Sara, y Conrad, y todos, si no consigue cambiar algo. Finalmente Johnny logra ganarse la confianza de Conrad y hablar con él.
