This ‘other woman' is the prime suspect in Hawkesworth's murder and it appears that she is none other than Susan. It transpires that Graham invented the story that he was having an affair and chose Susan as the ‘other woman' in order to make his wife jealous. His wife is the real killer and plans to make Susan the next victim.

Jim must delay his weekend off in order to take over escorting a French electronics expert from a special branch officer who has become ill.

Jim is put under pressure to arrest a scrap dealer who he believes is innocent of assaulting a young girl.

David Mason murders Ted Grob by throwing him into a swimming pool, handcuffed to a patio recliner. Jim returns to duty to solve the murder and is asked by an ex-con who believes he was framed to go back over the details of the robbery of a courier company some years earlier which has a connection with the recent death.
