De FIRM is een ultra gesofisticeerd laserwapen kwijt, de Mongoose, een wapen dat zowat door alles heen kan snijden. Archangel rekent op Hawke om het toestel terug te brengen.

When ""The Mongoose"", a new laser weapon, is stolen, the thieves fall out, and one of them contacts The F.I.R.M. with hope of returning the weapon for reward. Archangel sends Hawke, with Dominic and Caitlin, to work undercover as stunt men at a travelling Wild West show where the man is hiding out, but when their contact is killed in a suspicious ""accident"", it's up to them to find out the whereabouts of the weapon for themselves before the thieves can sell it to foreign agents...

Ein anonymer Anrufer behauptet, dass Versteck einer als gestohlen gemeldeten Laserwaffe zu kennen. Der Anrufer fordert eine Million Dollar. Erst dann will er den Namen des Verbrechers nennen und die Waffe ausliefern.

Dennis Slade, un escroc, détient un missile ultra-moderne, qui a été volé. Il compte bien revendre cet engin hautement sophistiqué, pour un million de dollars. Hawke et Dominic vont tenter de faire échouer sa transaction... Se faisant passer pour des cascadeurs, Hawke et Dominic font la connaissance d'Annie Oakley qui est impliquée dans cette affaire...
