During the background check interview Pam gives Jakes a message from Denton: do not contact him directly. Busi announces that one-on-one staff interviews will be conducted as part of the background check process, sending Dhanny and Esme into a panic.

Things seem to be going well in the Kings household, word is spreading and Ben and Talullah are happier than ever but, unbeknownst to Talullah, someone discovers her deceit.

Linkie considers confronting Talullah about the contraceptive pills she found and looks for an ally. Paul suspects Luther knows about his and Busi’s past and tries to confirm this. And Dhanny, after going through the books has only bad news for Esme.

Ben makes a bold move to get him closer to Talullah but Kenny rains on Talullah’s parade. Acting on Busi’s tip, Luther doubles down. The Frank and Esme showdown comes to a head with a surprising result.

Armed with new resolutions, Ben and Talullah continue their quest to become the ace Power Couple of twenty seventeen. Paul makes Luther an interesting offer and Esme proves to be tougher than she looks when she sticks to her guns.

David surprises Ben regarding his career move. Talullah's involvement with Analine's charity grows. While Esme’s suspicion increases, Pam gives Frank devious advice on how to get his job back. Ben demands to know what went wrong between Paul and Jakes. Will Paul confess?

Talullah finds her calling and Ben gets his test results back from the fertility clinic. Luther tries to win Thandi over while Esme finds out something disturbing. Talullah makes a silly mistake and lands herself in trouble.

Is Esme being won over by the dark side? Dhanny seems to think so. Luther continues to win over the Kings when he recognises Thandi’s greatest fear, and uses it to his advantage. Talullah and Ben seem to be reconciling. Until Ben makes a devastating discovery.

Ben finds himself homeless and in need of solace. Thandi is suspicious of Luther’s impression of Jakes. Denton wants Esme to start getting her hands dirty. Paul tries to stage an intervention to save his son’s marriage.

Talullah’s confession proves to have dire consequences. Luther and David play a game that forces Busi and Paul to act. Esme and Denton make a long term pact and Esme gets unexpected news that will affect her future.

Ben and Talullah run through the divorce contract. David tests Luther in the Eye in the Sky but Luther catches David off guard. And Denton tells Pam he is going ahead with his plan with Esme, which is to have dire consequences for his target.

A stubborn Ben ignores David’s warnings and Pam attempts to harm Kings. Luther gloats over his first victory over David but Busi warns him not to be too confident. David plays dirty with Luther and catches him off guard.

Pam comes up with a dark solution to Denton’s problem. Thandi plays an ace and wins. Vikash lands Talullah in an awkward situation. David makes a play to get rid of Luther but ignores his advice and ups the ante.

Denton puts his foot down with Pam. Talullah overhears a conversation which plants a seed of doubt in her. Kenny threatens Talullah’s happiness. David plays his ace but gets a surprise when Luther shows his hand. Paul and Thandi receive an unexpected visitor with a surprising agenda.

Jakes and Thandi’s love is tested when she isolates him. Thandi finds herself between two fires. Frank’s to solve the Denton/Jakes situation but it blows up in his face.

Jakes’ eagerness to impress leads to him failing an important test. Pam comes up with a scheme that may have potentially grave consequences. Ben runs into a brick wall and is forced to re-assess his standing at Kings Casino. Luther and David’s battle takes a new and damaging turn.

Jakes is determined to meet TT but quickly learns how fiercely protective TT is of his daughter. Ben is desperate to be a whale hunter but gets resistance from all sides. David faces off with Luther but later realizes the extent of Luther’s reach in his personal life.

Frank tries to get Denton to include him in work that Jakes used to do but Denton shuts him down. Paul wants David to be more proactive in helping Ben, but David thinks he knows what's best for Ben. Busi realises that her raunchy emails to David may also have been leaked.

Pam plays Frank and Denton with evil intent. Busi surprises Jakes and Paul with the way she treats Jakes. Jakes finds himself in unknown territory and has to rely on others’ help. Luther takes his campaign to a new level and forces David to do what he hates.

TT returns with a mysterious agenda. David is desperate to find out what TT plans and recruits an unlikely ally to help. Luther runs into a new opponent and Ben forms a new alliance that could spell the end of a friendship.

David and Busi pre-empt the reason for TT’s meeting and throw him a curve ball. Ben and Dhanny start clashing, Ben gets advice and tries a completely unexpected approach to restore the peace. And Luther finds himself in an unexpected predicament.

TT’s decision puts severe pressure on Thandi and she finally makes a decision about taking up his offer. Denton gets to regret past decisions. Pam’s evil plan takes a leap forward but at a price. Ben is in luck for a change, but Luther has to face an unexpected change.

Denton makes a mistake in the way he’s treating Frank. Pam gains a lot of ground and gets good news. David forms an unlikely alliance. Ben grabs an opportunity to mend fences between two very important people in his life.

Thandi has to face her fears. Jakes makes a sudden move and catches Thandi off guard. Paul shows his concern for someone close to him and delivers a warning. Ben lands in a very uncomfortable situation. Denton takes drastic action.

Ben goes over Dhanny’s head and Kenny’s plans backfire. Jakes makes his move and so does Frank. Denton finds out some disturbing news.

Jakes turns the gun on Frank but Thandi begs him not to shoot, insisting on getting the law to solve the situation. Dhanny is upset at being relieved of mentoring duties, but congratulates Ben nonetheless. Kenny feels as if he is being investigated by Luther.

An unhinged Frank is caught in a deadly game of wits between a ruthless Pam and a vengeance seeking Jakes. Jakes resorts to torture in order to acquire what he needs to complete his revenge on Denton.

The heat is on as Thandi and Denton are interviewed by the police. David finds out what Thandi and Paul have known all along about Jakes and heads will roll.
