Susan Denberg.

Neither of them did very much acting.

Sadly, we've lost Karen Steele - "Eve." And she was only 56. Her acting credits were far more extensive.

And I found this on her biography:

When she was 13 years old, a surfing accident resulted in Steele's leg being cut by coral segments. She later developed osteomyelitis in the leg with infection so severe that amputation was seriously considered until a doctor brought to Hawaii from Hong Kong ended the infection. The leg had to be rebuilt with wires and metal, but after 22 operations she began rehabilitation to resume walking.

Steele attended the University of Hawaii and studied acting at Rollins College in Florida for a year. After that, she found work as a cover girl and model.

And that would have been in 1944! At that time, what are now considered quite treatable infections could easily result in death.

In 1924, President Calvin Coolidge's son died at age 16 from an infected blister on his foot that he got from playing tennis without wearing socks, at the White House!

Steele was a very strong and brave person.

Meanwhile, Maria might recognize Susan Denberg from an episode of Twelve O'Clock High.

And Maggie Thrett was in the movie Dimension Five with Jeffrey "Captain Pike" Hunter.

David Soul.

He played Makora in the episode "The Apple (S2E05, 1967)".

At 76 years old, he is still acting.
