Discuss My Kitchen Rules

I am watching this show to see how much faker it can get - and the answer is - not much. It is the same format year after year where there always has to be a nasty couple who play dirty and down score all the teams in order to try to win. This year it falls to two born again Christian young men who are over doing it to such a degree that it has become pantomimesque - all that is needed is the hissing and booing. The reactions of outrage and horror from the other teams is repeated over and over again and of course - the nasties are always the last to cook. I watch it because they go to some beautiful locations in Australia and it makes me want to live there!! But really guys - it's time to tone down the "rivalry" it's not cutting it any more.

I hear you,I'm in the same boat.Even though I've read articles saying it's all real,I still don't believe it.On Instagram Josh told me that the fights are all real, but the way the whole is shown it's pretty obvious that it's been scripted. At least the cooking's real, and that's the only thing we should care about.Even the judges have gone on record in saying that they're tired of all the drama, this is supposed to be a cooking show.

I think it is the producers who want to ramp up the tension to attract and keep viewers and thus earn more money. I am watching the ten year anniversary edition and they now have two completely opposite women who have never met each other before (allegedly) one of the other female contestants put her foot in her mouth when she commented to the taller of these two women "We thought you were a transvestite" !! I had to laugh - I thought exactly the same thing at first glimpse. Oh dear - hurt feelings and tears and apologies - such high drama !! Is the Josh you are talking about the so called sea food king? If so - it would be amazing if he and Amy were still married given the way he was portrayed as treating her on the show. It was probably all stage - managed though.

I'm watching the exact same thing. Are you in South Africa and watching it on Mnet?

No - I am in Great Britain and watching it on Sky 2
