《天国少女》是树夏实于1989年开始在白泉社杂志《LALA》上连载的漫画作品。以12卷单行本完结的本作，在2009年4月被改编成TV动画在NHK电视台播放，全部共计39话。 故事讲述了女主角花鹿是世界级大财阀的独生女，其父在她年幼时为了怕女儿被他人绑架，因此将她放置在与世隔绝的孤岛上。在她14岁那年终于被允许回到正常的社会生活，而后被她的父亲、同时也是财阀的会长要求参加一场选择优秀丈夫的游戏，继而揭开了其身世之谜。

Hanasakeru Seishōnen is a manga series written and illustrated by Natsumi Itsuki. Set in the modern era, the story follows the path to romance of fourteen-year-old Kajika Burnsworth, daughter of powerful industrialist Harry Burnsworth, owner of the Burnsworth international conglomerate giant. Kajika agrees to participate in a "marriage game" with her father, in which she must select her future husband out of three men that her father has supposedly preselected for her.

Despite its shōjo-romance undertones, the story itself evolves as a power political mystery involving a small, southeast Asian country called Raginei. Raginei as a country is only 1,000 years old, but became extremely wealthy within the last 50 years or so due to a change in ideals implemented by past King Machaty that allowed the international export of oil. While Kajika searches for her suitors and puzzles over the concept of love, the country is thrown into political turmoil and Kajika's friendship with Prince Rumaty Ivan, as well as the Burnsworth relationship with Raginei, lands her right in the middle of it all.

Kajika Barnsworth, Tochter eines Großindustriellen, hat einen großen Teil ihrer Kindheit auf einer von der Zivilisation abgetrennten Insel verbracht und gerade als sie ihr normales Schulleben in Japan genießen möchte, beordert ihr Vater sie in die USA. Dort lädt er sie zu einer Art Spiel ein. Drei Heiratskandidaten wurden von ihm ausgesucht und Kajika soll sich für einen von ihnen entscheiden. Der Haken ist nur, dass Kajika nicht weiß, wer die Heiratskandidaten sind, also könnte jeder Mann, der ihr über den Weg läuft, einer der Auserwählten sein. Trotzdem nimmt Kajika die Herausforderung an und es dauert nicht lange, bis sie auf die ersten möglichen Kandidaten trifft.

Kajika Burnsworth è una ragazza di quattordici anni, figlia del potente industriale Harry Burnsworth, ha trascorso la prima parte della sua vita vivendo su un'isola dei Caraibi con un leopardo bianco di nome Mustafa. Dopo la morte di Mustafa il padre decide di mandarla a scuola in Giappone, ma dopo un mese la richiama per andare a New York .

Appena arrivata il padre la coinvolge in "un gioco di matrimonio". In questo gioco, lei si incontrerà e dovrà scegliere un marito fra tre uomini che suo padre ha scelto appositamente per lei. Però il padre non le dirà i dettagli sulla loro identità ma creerà situazioni in cui Kajika dovrà conoscerli. Secondo le regole, se lei sceglierà uno dei tre uomini, Harry (il padre) dirà a Kajika il suo destino. Il suo amico d'infanzia, Lee-Lung Fang, ha il compito di aiutarla nella sua missione, tutelandola nel contempo.

Kugami Kajika, uma americana de 14 anos descendente de japonês, filha do dono de uma grande empresa multinacional.
