I'm sticking with the 'groovalicous/funkiest' theme & chose ones from the 60s & 70s only. We should make lists for other decades.

Yeah I should've properly defined 'groovalicious'... Let's say anything with a funky, soul, psych, motown or disco beat. So I'm thinking that would cover 1966-1982 but it's flexible.
Magnum & Knight Rider are on the cusp, but they still had a disco-ish vibe so that's why I include them. The turning point was Miami Vice (1984) I think. Action tv shows after that had a distinctly 80s sound.
Good call on the Monkees & Partridge Family, how could I forget? For that matter it's a crime to overlook The Osmonds (1972) and The Jackson 5 (1971) 🕺

omg you reminded me Threes Company had that funky wah guitar in the early version of the theme song. I grew up on the later 80s version which was softened & sterilized but yeah good call. Sanford & Son… funkadelic Hammond organ ‘nuff said 😃
