Discuss Top of the Lake

Hello,

I'd like to fix the episodes runtimes for both seasons, but before that I made some research. I got that you consider the original version of first season that one composed by 7 episodes, aired on Sundance TV.

In another discussion the admin Banana answered to another user that the correct runtime for 7th episode is 49 min, since other with different runtime are alternative version. I'm agree, but I have some doubts to solve:

  1. Why if you know the runtime of the 7th episode, TMDB still reports the standard runtime of 45 min? Same for the other ones: all of them have 45 min, but I can't believe this is right, it is more likely various runtimes.
  2. If you have the ability to know the runtimes of 1st and 2nd season, can you proceed to update to the correct ones?

Consider that I have the bluray versions of both seasons, but I don't know how they could be reliable (moreover the bluray version of 1st season is composed by 6 episodes). On the other hand, I can't find anything on Sundance TV official site, but I'm not living in USA, maybe I have some difficult to connect to the site.

Regards Fabio

He indicates in his answer that the first season was 7 episodes of 49 minutes each.

The runtime at the episode level is a field that has been added very recently to TMDB. It has been automatically backfill by the system with the runtime set at the series level.

So, I have fixed the runtime of the first season episodes based on Banana answer, but I don't know the correct duration of the season 2 episodes.
