...but not really since her character, even dead, casts a long shadow on the show.
Beating a dead horse at this point (its a skeleton at this point, the flies have even left it lol) but...this show should have made Liz's first death (the fakeout) her real death. We'd still maybe have Redemption on the air, and we'd see that while Red worked with the Task Force because of Liz, he stayed because of the connections he made with each member. Oh and we wouldn't have had that (frankly, in retrospect, ridiculous) Red vs Mr. Kaplan season. Or the subsequent season where Red was taken down by a lol local corrupt cop.
Now, that's kinda what they're doing, but in the face of how Liz oh so touched their lives. Ressler, King of All Simps that he is (dethroned Aram even), became an addict, which apparently is going to be a thing going forward. Sigh. Lovely.
Red has found Mr. Kaplan 2.0 (confidant) and Female Dembe to replace Dembe who became an FBI agent. It seems like the show wants to make Dembe Liz 2.0 (no dammit why) and have the "I hate you but then I like you again until I hate you again" dynamic they had (again nooo) only with Red being the flip flopper this time. Dembe was set up (unless an ep contradicts this), so of course Red's anger and fury is being aimed by a third party...
Harold being blackmailed and doing less than honorable things to keep his involvement a secret? Not sure about that.
Not sure where they're going with Park, either. But they should have paired her with Aram (as in sharing screentime), not druggie Ressler.
I'm frustrated with this show cause they could have used the time jump as an off screen mourning process technique and jumped into catching Blacklisters minus Liz. Its like its trying to tank itself.
