Which character fits each category and which one do find the most endearing? It's like these days the terms are interchangeable esp geek & nerd, what are the main differences?

I like Jared but LOL I can't get over how he's not staying at his own condo! Like the person is airbnb'ing within airbnb.

These days geekiness is kind of in fashion and the term geek is often used affectionately while many self describe themselves as geeks with a kind of pride and self awareness.

So I assumed these days that the difference between geeks and nerds is that geeks are seen in a positive way. Like their obsession with obscure, off kilter stuff may be over the top but can be seen as endearing.

The term nerd or dork is more likely to be aimed at people in a derogatory way. Like they're genuinely seen as ostracized outcasts because they look really weird, dress terribly and probably have a very hard time fitting in socially. Or because they have hobbies that may be regarded by many as too far removed from the mainstream. A geek may like reading comic books while a nerd may like playing Warhammer or Dungeons and Dragons.

Scott Pilgrim would be seen as a geek while McLovin would be seen as a nerd or dork.
