...of season three. Had to say that the show indeed has a formula aside from it's setting. In all three seasons the "hero" cop has faced opposition from their superior officer(s). Some have written here and elsewhere that this season broke the formula but, no; not in that respect.

As far another season, I do not see them going for it unless they flash back to the 1930's or somewhere far removed from any of the moving parts (people) in the past three seasons. Now that would be interesting, but also expensive (sets, costumes, cars, continuity, etc). It is the only way I see this going forward.
