alcoholics in the ER

alcoholics would are dealing with withdrawal get beer to help... so I don't gingers issue in season one with goodwin giving that drunk a beer. hospitals literally have name brand beer at the ready for those people. it's competely normal for a doctor to give a patient beer when they are going though horrible withdrawals

I was in the hospital for 3 weeks after a bad accident, there was an older man (late 70's maybe) down a few rooms who was given 3 beers a day. I figured that he was probably an alcoholic & this was better than more drugs to keep him from the DT's?

thats my point, hospitals have beer to help patients cause withdrawal at a certain point with kill people and no doctor has some moral issue with this.....ER did this and they did it better.
Honestly I love Chicago Med but it's ideas of medical doctors is behind a 90's ER sometimes let alone modern day medicine.
