Season 2 ended with Phil shot and on his way to Noregard, Sarah shot dead, and a science experiment in the cemetery, which failed to resurrect Elishia, but which did apparently push the boundary line back out. And there were some interesting minor cliffhangers as well.

Kate finally told Owen everything (after the cemetery science and death scene). He said he had to go get some air, stepped outside and we see him on the phone saying "hey mate it's Owen. Yeah yeah, I gotta talk to you". So who did he call? What was he going to tell him? Owen seems to be secretly spilling the beans on Kate, which cannot be good for her. Will this ruin their relationship? If so, will she hook up with her husband James again and take care of Sarah's baby?

Kirstie has a secret. Kirstie and Charlie went to the Royal. Kirstie got sick and vomited in the toilet, then put her hand to her tummy and said "oh fuck". So she is pregnant. But who is the father? Is it her boyfriend Kevin Brunner? Or is it the rapist Pete Rennix? As far as we know, she has not hooked up with anyone since she came back, so it would have to be one of those two guys.

The last scene shows William back at the cemetery blowing on that resurrection whistle thing, and the ground then showed that same pattern which was produced by the sound part of the experiment. Does that mean more people are going to arise in season 3?

Glitch has already checked the gay guy box with Charlie remembering his secret boyfriend from the war, and getting hit on by the aging gay bartender at the Royal. So we should expect season 3 will show Charlie with a love interest at some point.

Also, Phil is not dead, as everyone thought when Sarah shot him at the cemetery. Dr. Heysen took his body "for study", and James allowed it since reporting the death of Phil 2.0 and Sarah 2.0 might have led to interesing autopsy findings and questions nobody wanted to answer. Will Phil submit to testing at Norgard? Or will he escape and continue his campaign of killing the resurrected?

Also, why exactly did Phil, Vic, and Sarah immediately return to life, with memories intact, and a mission to kill all those who came back to life? They mentioned that there are rules, you're born, you live, and you die, in that order, and that breaking those rules upsets the natural order in some way. Will the writers elaborate on these issues or will they leave them shrouded in mystery?

I see there are only 6 episodes, so whatever they intend to show us, it won't take them long to do it.

So I am assuming there might be another series given the way this one ended. Some questions - why did Fernando want to kill Sergio - with his mental condition he couldn't give evidence about anything and I don't really believe he did it to spare Sergio being alone because he thought he had killed Juan. Fernando is not that nice. And Juan - he makes a phone call to Fernando - to the effect of yah boo sucks I am alive - you loser - but in his final scene he looks paralysed and catatonic. And that scene with Samira and Fernando at the end - they just had to do it didn't they. And isn't it amazing how everything gets caught on camera - and it was so kind of Pablo to remove his mask in the middle of a field where he could be seen by anybody. And what was with "Nacho is not your son" - was that just said to infuriate Pablo to make him make a mistake? Just a thought - Pablo had brown eyes - Marta had brown eyes - did Nacho have blue eyes? Hector has grey eyes. But Hector was loath to have a relationship with her even when he thought Pablo was dead. I don't get that. And Salva - proposing marriage so he could date Sol? And given the condition of that "soil" the first crop being in Spring was a non starter to begin with - now it's just the two of them because apparently the authorities have accepted that Pilar's mother was the criminal master mind behind the trafficking - and given the hostility of the locals how is that going to work? No doubt in the next season we shall see it all dug and planted and blooming beautifully - whatever the crop is - do we know? Olive trees probably. And Cristina the totally pointless character who ended up as red as the herring she was. What was the point of her blog and her coded diary and the defaced picture of Sergio (mind I might have done the same!) and what was she trying to download from Juan's computer. And what was the point of her alleged "abuse" by her father (funny how she was still a virgin then) and his demise in a mysterious car crash. It was all totally irrelevant which is why I lost interest and sort of missed some stuff regarding her - including her last gasp of "Apocalypse" - I mean why do people say something totally obscure when they could equally well say look in my diary? I was expecting a big revelation scene with Sergio dumping his doodle ally persona and revealing himself to be the master mind behind it all - too much huh !! I too am sick and tired of black people harping back to historical wrongs to justify their hatred and law-breaking. I think virtually every country in the world has some historical wrongs done to it's indigenous populations in the past . I know I will never forgive Germany or Japan for what they did in their camps to the Allies. The cruelty was indescribable and given the necessity they would do it again because it is in their natures. A friend of my fathers was in a Japanese POW camp - when it was liberated they thought he was dead because he was lying on a plank which his skin had fused into - he weighed less than four stone and was hospitalised for months - he never really recovered from it and died early. So it is not just a faraway historical happening to me - it is up close and personal. As you might have gathered I am not a forgiving person - I have no saintly smile painted on my face - I believe the people you forgive take advantage of it as they did in 1918. As does every rapist and murderer and child molester - I don't believe the psychobabble that if you don't forgive it damages you - that is poppycock - it keeps you alert and less gullible. As is the concept of rehabilitation - it is blue moon fodder. You can't rehabilitate a psychopath and those released by idiotic parole boards prove it over and over again.

Fernando was closer to Sergio than anyone. In fact, Sergio was the only person he really showed any genuine affection toward. He identified with Sergio because Juan treated them both so poorly. They grew up together and Fer always comforted Sergio when Juan said mean things to him. He was the main person Sergio cared about, and he was the person who could calm him down and make him feel better. There was a serial killer named Richard Kuklinski known as the Ice Man because he sometimes froze bodies for a year or so and then left them in the woods so the police wouldn't know when they died. He had examined by psychiatrists in prison. They found he had not guilt or poor feelings about killing people or hurting anyone. The only exception was for his wife and children. He cared about them deeply. It is possible for someone like Fernando to care about someone like Sergio.

They gave no reason for Juan turning into a vegetable like he did. They should have told us he had multiple major strokes, or something to explain that last scene. The only possible explanation suggested, and perhaps a third season is planned to explain it to us, is that Fernando got Samira to do something to Juan.

I thought Hector said Nacho wasn't his son in order to shock Pablo and put his mind to work trying to figure out if that could be true to distract him momentarily before he threw dust in his eyes. But his next move should have been to use the edge of the shovel blade to break Pablo's forearm holding his gun. Those short shovels are incredible effective as weapons. Soldiers are trained to use them that way. They can quickly decapitate someone. Hector was close enough that he could have moved quickly to the side and forward and disabled Pablo quickly. But they wanted to draw out that scene.

Salvo was trying to work within the gypsy way, but I didn't think he was really that into Sol. I surely wouldn't want to marry into that weird ass family. What a stupid custom. You can't date unless you're engaged? Wow. How are you supposed to know if you're compatible?

As for the soil, there have been places where deserts bloomed because someone tapped into an aquifer deep below and irrigated the dusty soil and made it very productive. So I guess it depends on what was really in that report about the land, if there is water running in a closed aquifer deep below which can be pumped out. The whole reason for Juan using his "sea of plastic" tents was to keep his irrigation water from evaporating away. But did you see the size of his irrigation tanks? HA. There wasn't nearly enough water for just one tent. And how is it that Pilar's mom was able to convince the cops she was the one trafficking women? Her story would never hold up because she didn't know the details. Maybe that brief scene of her looking through her husband's books was her studying the details. So Pilar got away with everything in the end. It's not clear if the town will believe her mother was really the culprit. those women were found in Pilar's club, so how did that happen? But the writers can clear that up in the third season since they write the story. Pilar can blame her mom and cry and get sympathy, maybe. We shall see, I suppose.

Cristina. do you remember Hector looking in her diary and seeing all those codes? The series of numbers? Apocalypse was the key to the code. Hector studied the last book of the bible and using those numbers got the clues to decipher that code. They didn't explain that well. I think they meant to suggest that Cristina had killed her father with an "accident", then she suffered from guilt and turned to the Church to try to assuage her guilt. That explains the things she said to Fernando that he was a victim and the things he did were a result of how his abuse affected him, etc. That was her experience, she felt. but Fernando wasn't really plagued by guilt. He just learned how to act the way she did, to an extent. And in the end he manipulated her to take the fall and had no compunction about it. He said he left evidence in the irrigation tank to exonerate her, a lie, so she freaked out when it wasn't there and finally killed herself. I saw that coming. If she said she was a virgin I missed that part. She acted like one, but I thought she had been sexually abused like you did. So I'm not clear on that either.

Pyschopaths cannot be rehabilitated. Sociopaths are nearly as bad. Sociopaths learn to deaden their consciences and psychopaths are that way from birth. Recidivism rates for prisoners have always been high and I think that is partly because sociopaths and psychopaths naturally wind up there at higher percentages than the average person. There are people in prison who made a stupid mistake, someone talked them into sneaking some pot across a border or somewhere and they get charged with having more than for personal use, therefore dealing drugs. They had never done that before, the dealer just coerced them into becoming a mule or tricked them into it. Or they were young and stupid and they were just talked into it. People like that can quickly make life changing decisions when the weight of their dumb decision or bad luck being tricked hits them. The bad thing is that they may learn bad things once inside, but some of them keep their heads down, follow the rules inside, do the things the prison board gives them credit for, etc. and they do alright once they are out. The comedian Tim Tayor went to prison for having too much pot. He said he made friends with people inside because he was funny and he avoided getting turned into a bitch that way cause they liked him. But you're right that the bad ones are rarely changed for the better, if ever. They are sorry they got caught, most of the time. There was that one serial killer who turned himself in once he realized why he was doing what he was doing, and he realized he wouldn't stop. But I think that is a rare thing.

I never figured out what she was trying to get from Juan's computer, unless it was that video of the women being loaded into Juan's trucks. Fernando was just fishing I guess, figuring there must be some dirt there he could use. He called Juan and tried to blackmail him into letting Sergio continue to visit him in prison.

What should we watch next?

When Cristina visited Fernando in prison for what we would call a conjugal visit - he started kissing her and stroking her and she said then "I have never done this before" before he laid her on the bed. What should we watch next - oh dear - the perennial question? The answer to which is I have no idea! - I watched the second episode of "Criminal UK" it was a straightforward no I didn't do it - yes I did - the end. I doubt if I shall be watching any more of them. Check out "Deadwind" - Black Heart" - "Intersection" - "What if" - "Unforgotten" I have seen Unforgotten and it isn't bad - I wouldn't mind watching it again as I have forgotten all but the gist of it. "The Staircase" - "Winter Sun" all on Netflix. Let me know if you fancy any of them.

I guess I missed that line. Of course she might have meant foreplay.

Peaky Blinders has a new season showing on Netflix over here. Do you have it yet?

I will check those shows

What season of "Peaky Blinders" are you on? We have Series 5 on BBC over here.

Yes, season 5 has been added to Netflix here now. Do you have the complete season or is it ongoing presently?

I have an ongoing series 5 on BBC - we are up to ep 6. Season 5 is not on Netflix here at present. I don't know how many eps there are in season 5.

Looks like there are 6 episodes in season 5. So you're done with season 5. IMDB lists 7 seasons. I don't know if they have all been shot or if they are just slated to be done.

I think they are planning a sixth season and there is a film in the offing. Do you want to start watching this?

Arthur's wife Linda Shelby has become a coke headed, angry, bitch. I am watching episode 1 of season 5 and have just seen her storm out of the boardroom after Arthur granted Tommy permission to present a strategy to the board. Linda is ambitious and jealous. She is pushing Arthur to take control of the company instead of allowing Tommy to remain in de facto control. Of course, Linda controls Arthur, so she really wants a coup. Linda wants to run the show, by telling Arthur what to do.

Sometimes when I watch this show I think when the hell are things going to go right for once, not just for a moment, but for a while. Of course, if that happened, there would be no show since it is predicated on the Shelbys having to fight their way out of one crisis after another. In the first season the family meetings seemed more unified. Increasingly over the past couple of seasons in particular they are more contentious with members rebelling from all sides. In fact the Shelby family seems to be falling apart, then it comes together briefly, then falls apart more.

I would have thought Thomas Shelby would have had some security at his home. How could they sneak onto his property and plant mines? For all their money and power and position Tommy is extremely vulnerable and unprotected.

How the hell can Tommy still trust Arthur to do anything right on his own? even if Tommy is right there with him it's hard to get Arthur to follow the plan. Arthur cannot control himself. He screws things up as much as he works them out. He damn near killed that Quaker fellow.

The Shelby family is a bloody gang of cutthroat hoods. The only reason we tend to pull for them is that their enemies tend to be worse people than they are. Tommy seems to have the most sense. It is a wonder they have not lost everything with the bunch of drunk, drugged out, idiots who are supposed to follow orders, but who get the idea that they should be making the decisions.

The idiot Michael decided to talk to his new wife and get her permission to handle the coal and opium business in the family business. And where does he decide to bring up this topic for discussion but standing in the midst of people who have come to see the opera. Tommy should really get a new family. Or at least keep family members away from important business operations and let trusted people handle things. Now I saw that meeting where Michael basically told Tommy that he should step down and Michael will take over the business. Why? Because opium makes so much money. He didn't set it up. He is only making money because Tommy let him run that part of the business

Update, I am done with it now. Michael is a little shit. I wonder if when they figure out it was him who spilled the beans to that bearded guy Polly will be the one to kill her son Michael. He has been a regular character for a long time now so I wonder if they will try to keep him in the show. He didn't intentionally betray their plot, but he screwed up again because he doesn't think he should have to listen to what he is told. Arthur told him not to discuss the family business but that didn't register with him. Now Polly's fiance is dead because of Michael, and that Nazi is still alive. Every time they trust Michael with something he screws it up and costs them dearly. Plus, he and his new wife are plotting to take over covertly now. He probably needs to be taken out, and I wonder if Polly will do it.

Linda is apparently gone now, and I hope she stays gone. But who knows? She could show up again and be the problem she always is.

Plus, the word will get back to Mosley that it was one of the Peaky Blinders who said a Nazi would die that night, so he will suspect Tommy Shelby. Next season will be a war.

I have binge watched the series and I found it quite disappointing - I think when it moved from the streets to the political arena it just lost interest for me. I hate watching shows with plots you know aren't going to happen - i.e. The assassination of Oswald Mosley. Also Polly gets on my nerves - they always portray her as this super cool super beautiful woman and quite honestly she is neither. I knew her fiancé would be killed as soon as she said yes to his marriage proposal. Michael has always had an air of betrayal about him - I think the next series will see him and his wife try to take over Tommy's Chinese drug connections - I doubt Michael will care about their other businesses - but this will make Tommy want to kill them both but Michael's wife seems to be from a mob family so that could prove disastrous. They would have to make any death for her look like an accident. It's obvious Michael can never be trusted again and Polly knows that - I think she will sacrifice Michael for Tommy because she was out of Michael's life for so long she hasn't built up the same layers of loyalty she has with Tommy. That Mosley assassination attempt was stupid - why break a man out of an asylum who was obviously crazy and hard to control - given their connections a hit man wouldn't have been hard to find - and why count to ten after Tommy looks at his watch? I thought it was Finn who told Billy (the bearded guy who was doing the football fixes) about the assassination - he trusted him - thought of him as one of them - he's young and a bit stupid but not a traitor. Tommy wouldn't hurt him for that. Arthur should be put down - his answer to everything thing is violence and killing. I too, hope that Linda stays gone - that scenario has been going on for too long now. And why bother bringing Tom Hardy back? It was a bit pointless and implausible that he survived a bullet in the face. It is also doubtful that Michael and whatsername got legally married by a ship's captain. With regard to Lizzie - Tommy's wife - she was a prostitute - and apparently continued that to a greater degree as a nightclub hostess - I cannot see Tommy marrying her if he wanted to become an MP - the press would have slaughtered him. I don't know why he married her anyway - he wasn't in love with her - she was still turning tricks (him included) when she was going with his brother John.

You're right, it was Finn who told Billy. My mistake. That means Polly cannot blame Michael for Aberamagold's death or the foiled hit. It goes to show once again that of the Shelby family, only Tommy knows what he is doing most of the time. The rest of them are basically hot headed idiots too stubborn to listen to and follow directions. The stuttering retarded fellow is more trustworthy than they are.

I knew Tom Hardy didn't die when I saw hit shot high on the cheek bone. Not that cheek bones are particularly hard to break, they're not. But ricochets on head shots that hit at an angle are not uncommon, and the writers like Hardy too much to do him in for good. They will get more mileage out of him.

I don't think they need to kill Michael's wife, just him. But we will hear the common refrain that family cannot be hit, or they will stuggle over the decision long enough that Michael will cause yet another catastrophe.

The whole family is held together by dried mud, and just barely. Most of them are too stupid to manage running any kind of criminal organization. They have anger, ego, impulsiveness, and make far too many mistakes for some other group not to swoop in and wipe them out and take over.

If Churchill wanted to have that guy taken out he could have used trained agents to do the job. Or if they were going to contract it out to keep their hands clean, there are much better people to get the job done. There are people who specialize in taking people off the street, and do it in such a way that nobody even realizes it was a hit, unless they want them to. -Tommy wanted a fall guy who would look like a lone assassin, someone crazy who is a good shot fit the bill. But it was way too risky. He was too far gone to use. But, he would have got the job done if not for Finn telling Billy. I wonder if Billy is a Nazi.

Now we are going to have to listen to that disgusting Mosley fellow next season. I would guess he will figure out that Tommy Shelby likely knew about the hit beforehand and there will be some fighting between the Billy Boys and the Peaky Blinders. And everyone will know who is fighting. Arthur will make sure of it. Just like at the shootout at the docks. With all that gunfire, including automatic weapons sure to draw attention, Arthur shouted at the top of his lungs "don't fuck with the Peaky Blinders". So anyone within earshot knew who was there. That was par for the course for that idiot. What makes it so bad is that even retarded people learn things more readily than Arthur. With Arthur, each time is like the first time it has ever happened, until someone reminds him of when he screwed up before. That is a bit over the top. And it gets boring.

Have you had a chance to check out the other shows I mentioned?

All right, I finished this show - Glitch. As write2topcat said, I also didn't understand adding 2 more characters in this TV show. I think it wasn't necessary. I think in general it was good show and worth 6/10 in my opinion. Ending was also predictable and not bad.

Started french TV show "Black Spot". Watched first episode, but it didn't intrigue me, so I stopped. Started I-Land and so far it seems quite interesting. Will continue watching it.
