Season 2 ended with Phil shot and on his way to Noregard, Sarah shot dead, and a science experiment in the cemetery, which failed to resurrect Elishia, but which did apparently push the boundary line back out. And there were some interesting minor cliffhangers as well.

Kate finally told Owen everything (after the cemetery science and death scene). He said he had to go get some air, stepped outside and we see him on the phone saying "hey mate it's Owen. Yeah yeah, I gotta talk to you". So who did he call? What was he going to tell him? Owen seems to be secretly spilling the beans on Kate, which cannot be good for her. Will this ruin their relationship? If so, will she hook up with her husband James again and take care of Sarah's baby?

Kirstie has a secret. Kirstie and Charlie went to the Royal. Kirstie got sick and vomited in the toilet, then put her hand to her tummy and said "oh fuck". So she is pregnant. But who is the father? Is it her boyfriend Kevin Brunner? Or is it the rapist Pete Rennix? As far as we know, she has not hooked up with anyone since she came back, so it would have to be one of those two guys.

The last scene shows William back at the cemetery blowing on that resurrection whistle thing, and the ground then showed that same pattern which was produced by the sound part of the experiment. Does that mean more people are going to arise in season 3?

Glitch has already checked the gay guy box with Charlie remembering his secret boyfriend from the war, and getting hit on by the aging gay bartender at the Royal. So we should expect season 3 will show Charlie with a love interest at some point.

Also, Phil is not dead, as everyone thought when Sarah shot him at the cemetery. Dr. Heysen took his body "for study", and James allowed it since reporting the death of Phil 2.0 and Sarah 2.0 might have led to interesing autopsy findings and questions nobody wanted to answer. Will Phil submit to testing at Norgard? Or will he escape and continue his campaign of killing the resurrected?

Also, why exactly did Phil, Vic, and Sarah immediately return to life, with memories intact, and a mission to kill all those who came back to life? They mentioned that there are rules, you're born, you live, and you die, in that order, and that breaking those rules upsets the natural order in some way. Will the writers elaborate on these issues or will they leave them shrouded in mystery?

I see there are only 6 episodes, so whatever they intend to show us, it won't take them long to do it.

All right, I finished this show - Glitch. As write2topcat said, I also didn't understand adding 2 more characters in this TV show. I think it wasn't necessary. I think in general it was good show and worth 6/10 in my opinion. Ending was also predictable and not bad.

Started french TV show "Black Spot". Watched first episode, but it didn't intrigue me, so I stopped. Started I-Land and so far it seems quite interesting. Will continue watching it.

Strange and I watched I-Land. It was pretty good. At first I thought it was going to be a ripoff of LOST, the sleeper ABC hit show about people who crashed on a mysterious island and had to figure out how to live there. There were initial similarities. But then the plot took a twist, a big surprise was thrown in. I won't say any more than that. You should enjoy that one.

On Glitch, when Pete gave James' daughter that resurrection whistle thing (and what was that and where did it come from?) I thought uh oh, I wonder what will happen if she ever decides to blow that thing. I guess we could see this show start back up again with new characters in the future some time, at least the door is open for it.

I am watching "3%" at the moment - a Brazilian teen offering. I am on S1 Ep 3 so it can't be that bad. There are three seasons - so I will keep going and see how it turns out.

Strange, you mentioned Unforgotten. Is that the London detectives who "investigate crimes from the past, unravelling secrets left buried for years"? Whoops, no matter I can't get that one.

Deadwind, I have that on netflix.

I can also get Blackheart, the 13 episode Turkish series about revenge.

Intersection is also on netflix, another Turkish series. It sounds like two men after the same woman, but it might be alright.

What If is on my netflix also, a Kuwaiti thing with an interesting premise.

The Staircase is on my netflix also. It's about that doctor accused of pushing his wife down the stairs. I may have seen it. If it is the one I am thinking of, he had another wife die the same way.

Winter Sun is another Turkish revenge series which might be good. I can get it also.

I've been passing the time watching Bolivar, a 60 episode series about the life of Simon Bolivar, the liberator of South America. I didn't realize it but he rode his horse 123,000 km, about twice as far as Alexander the Great. OK, I see you just posted.

UPDATE: Did we watch Fauda? It's a two season action thing in the middle east. I think I watched it and liked it.

Also, there is an 80 episode Mexican show called La Piloto about a girl who wanted to be a pilot and got caught up in the drug smuggling trade. Not sure if it would be good or not.

And I can get 3% so I will watch that too.

2

Also, there is an 8 episode show called TROY fall of a city.

Good question. If I remember correctly when they blew in that whistle thing something happened, they understood purpose what was needed to do? (I have bad memory & easy forget things). And if I'm not mistaken, we saw that Whistler in earlier seasons as well, but can't recall when & what happened... And yes, it ended that way that they can always make a comeback with new characters if they decide.

I'm on third episode in "The I-land" & I'm enjoying it very much. It reminds me Westworld & to be honest so far I like it more than Westworld, which I actually disliked because of too many flashbacks, repetitive scenes & confusing plot. However it got quite good ratings unlike I-land which got only 4.4 on IMDb. Funny but for me Westworld was 4 rated show & I-land seems (at least so far) 8 rated one. I think anything HBO releases is automatically praised & given big ratings & for Netflix it's opposite & in fact, I think HBO shows are overrated, but it's my personal opinion, which some of you might disagree.

I take it show by show. HBO had Homeland which I watched when I could. It was riveting, the first season especially. I-Land has a major twist you won't see coming which you should get to soon.

Yes, on Glitch the whistle seemed to mainly bring back memories to them and help them understand things. In the last episode it showed them all the things that the 'risen killers' like James, William, Phil, Vic, Sarah, etc. understood about how the risen were 'breaking the rules' and upsetting the universe. In the third and last season we saw for the first time that the presence of the risen was causing major natural disasters, something we never saw in the first two seasons. Maybe that was the reason for the two extra risen people, to push them past the tipping point where after a critical mass of dead people came back, bad stuff began speeding up. So blowing that whistle opened their eyes to that idea. Of course it is up to the writers what other attributes they want to add to it. Also, it was never explained how William and Elishia arose from the dead in the first place. Nobody was running one of those sounds plus electromagnetic experiments when they first came back long ago. So the writers can start this up again whenever they want. There is some other mechanism which, we must presume, could start resurrecting people at any moment.

TC - what are you watching now? I am still on 3% and that describes my investment rate in it at the moment !! I can't remember Fauda - it seems vaguely familiar. Winter Sun sounds OK. Update me on what you want to watch next. There are some new shows coming to Netflix on Oct 18 - maybe some choice in there if we can both get them.

I am still looking at Bolivar with its subtitles. I guess I am only watching it because I like history and I knew next to nothing about this famous person who changed the history of South America, throwing off Spanish rule in the entire continent. It isn't terribly well done I guess. Well, it is acted well enough but sometimes the subplots seem to take too much time. It is 60 episodes overall. It begins when he is a child and goes through his death. Everyone knows about Hannibal, Alexander the Great, and many other famous generals. But Bolivar fought hundreds of battles and rode his horse farther than any other general, and freed a continent from colonial rule. So I find him interesting and am watching it for the educational aspect presently. I think I will take a break from it though and begin watching 3% with you. I can come back to this, and it may make it more interesting if I take a break from it.

So we can watch 3% and then figure out what next.

OK. I like historical stuff as well but I tend to prefer more - how do I describe it - the lives of Kings and Queens and the plotting and betrayals - I like Roman history also - I watched the one on Julius Caesar - The Medici's - Caligula - I like stuff about more recent history too like the Cambridge spies - but they are rarely subtitled and always have music in the background. I am virtually addicted to true crime docs as well !! There is one on tonight about the A6 murder - James Hanratty - but it wont go into the details that made his guilt questionable - only the police version which wont tell you half of what went on - about the witnesses they turned away at his trial. I know nothing about Bolivar - it seems more battles than personal life and politics - I hate battles. Let me know what episode of 3% you are watching - I am on ep 3 at the moment I think - or maybe the beginning of 4. Be warned - it is a teen vehicle in my view - all the cast are young slim and good looking!! I had to look twice to see if Jona the black girl was male or female - but her lack of a bra gave it away eventually - and really - she should consider wearing one. I have to say this series reminds me of something and I can't think what - it's like in the "Running Man" when those who beat the chasers were supposed to end up on a wonderful island having a wonderful time as their reward but they were actually dead. There is something fishy about the "process" to be sure - but I can't figure out what it is just yet.

I am starting to watch episode 1 now. Groups of people are headed to the gate to the selection process. Crazy as it may seem, I believe something similar is in our future. The welfare bums won't fare well. The elite will look for and choose those with intelligence, and skills, and they will be given access to basic necessities and options for work and advancement. People will willingly give up many of the 'rights' and privileges we insist upon today, happy just to be considered eligible for the options.

The welfare immigrants we are loaded with today will either flee our countries once they go bankrupt, or more likely they will begin a civil war of sorts. Crime will skyrocket and gangs will war with each other on a grand scale, not just the territorial stuff we see going on today.

Enough about that. I will get back to you on the show when I watch more.

I'm in episode 2 now. I would like to say Rafael will be eliminated for being a dick, but I suspect that he is supposed to be an ongoing character, at least for a while. He will eventually reap what he has sewn, I think. But they want us to build up plenty of reasons to hate him first.

I would not have wanted anything to do with that black girl. She had a smug and cocky air to her. She never spoke to the guy and acted like she was blowing him off, and then asked "you coming?" I would have said Nah.

The kid in the wheelchair acted like a hypersensitive, offended person when Michelle was happy that he might walk again. He asked in an accusatory tone "Why are you happy?" Come on kid, is it a bad thing that she is happy that you might be cured? That is really working hard to find a reason to be offended. Then he whined about getting pitied by people. Drama, drama.

At this point in the story it has a little bit of a "Survivor" feel to it.

That guy in the wheelchair - yes - it was a ridiculous exchange - one minute he wants to be in the process in the hope that he may be cured - and then suddenly it's a senseless about turn and he doesn't want to be cured. There isn't really much to comment on yet - they are just setting the scene really. Ezequiel (these names!) seems to be a bit of a puppet master with problems of his own - people want rid of him - we don't know why yet. The back stories are appearing bit by bit and the incidents manipulated by the program are getting pretty serious. It's a slow starter - let's hope it hots up in the later episodes. For me the problem is remembering who is who in the group - apart from the two members of "The Cause" - plus Joana and wheelie man the others all blend into each other.

I'm on episode 4 where they have to use the levers to get food. I figure only a few will be selected. I figure that Michelle will be one, and the wheelchair kid will make it because it is PC. I also think Rafael will make it just because they have made him a major character. Also Marco should make it for the same reason. Agatha freaks out too much so I am thinking they will boot her. Joanna will make it since they have spent so much time on her flashbacks. The minor characters they have not spent much time on will get booted I think. There are too many to keep up with presently. Besides, Ezequiel seems to want to weed some out.

Well I didn't know Marco was going to turn into such a crazy man. I should have known he would get cut though. He kept talking about how he was meant to go, how he was from an elite family, how he was better than the others, and so on. Anyway, he and the other thugs got cut from the group.

I think you are right about the weeding out. They seem to want the strong - the intelligent - and those able to work as a group to survive. I am thinking about the situation - and it occurs to me that Ezequiel is part of a "perfect" society - so I have to ask why does a perfect society recruit hundreds of the rag tag and bobtail of a lesser society - every year? A perfect society only remains so by population control surely so where do all these hundreds of lower society people fit in? I am thinking in terms of replacements for the deaths in the perfect society - but there are not going to be hundreds of deaths in that perfect society. So - I now consider two options - entertainment or labour - maybe both. But even in this scenario there are going to be thousands of lower class people to dispose of. I was wondering why (in my naïve way!!) people in the lower classes would continue to breed at that rate - knowing the lack of food - the hardship - they were bringing babies into - but you only have to look at Africa and that answers that question.
