Discuss Star Trek: The Next Generation

Subtitled Planet of the Blonde Nymphomaniacs.

Picard has a moral dilemma. On one hand, he could break the prime directive, put thousands of lives at risk, and make an enemy out of a god. One the other hand, we could just write Wesley off of the show.

It seems like a no-brainer, but he agonizes over this for hours. He resolves the issue by giving a moral lecture to the god. This doesn't seem like it would work, but it does

Everyone goes their own way and no blondes were harmed in the making of this episode. Worf's virginity remains intact.

I think it was in the documentary Chaos On The Bridge where GR's original idea for this episode was discussed. Let's just say it wouldn't have made it to prime time tv. In fact, it sounded more like a Russ Meyer flick.

This episodes in one of Star Trek's ultimate cock tease dangling the prospect for us viewers that Wesley might be executed and not following through on it ,I'll bet if it had really happened a lt of early TNG viewers would have cheered and popped a bottle of champagne champagne

bump

I'm glad Wesley survived! There! I said it!

I must say I actually don't hate Wesley that much most of the earlier stuff is still cringe worthy at moments but ad the seasons progress he becomes less of a annoyance.

I like Wesley because he reminds me of me. I obviously wasn't a genius like he was, but I used to bullied a lot in school.

I am sorry to hear that, maybe it is some comfort that most of us are subjected to bullying in some sort of form and that it is of all times even today with a youth very aware of sensitive issues like race gender and sexuality it still exist and because of the interactive media probably even worse than it was before.
