I'm in the States and watched the first episode of this last night. I realize the series has already aired in the U.K.
Anyone else here watching this, or already have?
I'm finding it interesting and quite liking it. It doesn't entirely "work," as it's obviously modern-day people putting themselves into the roles of impoverished folks of generations back, yet obviously not those people, particularly when you see them (the re-enactors) out in public around present-day people. Still, it's educational and eye-opening, and I look forward to seeing the rest of the season.

So true. Or for anyone who thinks their life is unbearable if they don't have ready access, at all times, to the internet, or a t.v., smartphone, computer, etc.
