Discuss Watership Down

Compare this to the 1978 version and you see greater difficulty in distinguishing between rabbits and, more crucially, in exhibiting any emotion and tension.

The 1978 classic will leave grown men sobbing uncontrollably but this has none of the tension and the trauma. The legendary final couple of scenes were murdered here. Perhaps computer animation is at the stage where it is doing well with human characters and cartoon creatures, but I think this shows that there is a long way to go with animating 'realistic' animals.

As an aside, the inferior soundtrack, voice acting and decision making (the cat doesn't speak!?) mean this should be left alone by repeat viewers and new viewers alike. Stick with the original.
