已婚上班族榛野阳一（玉木宏饰）与妻子榛野知里（仓科加奈饰）在拥有小孩之前过着幸福的小俩口生活，但在有了孩子之后，夫妻面临了各种生活挑战。阳一虽为一家之主但毫无长进，而开始被妻子嫌弃导致家庭矛盾激化。为了建立“理想丈夫”的形象，而做出各种努力，最终跨越两人间的障碍，成长为“最棒的父亲”
