Part way through this "Are we all going to die if this is 'Ebola Zaire?" tale, I looked up a "how much of this is true?" thread. (The tension level was getting nearly as high as the Roentgen readings in HBO's "Chernobyl.") Finding out how this 1989 tale turned out dropped the tension level back to "The Andromeda Strain" (1971) level. The final scene with a congressional hearing reminded me of the "601"/be prepared...or else feel of the aftermath of "Project Scoop." So, will the computer tracking the mutation rate of the Next Dangerous Viral threat "halt and catch fire"?
