Discuss Dracula

First off I would like to say that the guy who played Dracula was friggin' awesome. Probably my favorite and I have seen A LOT of renditions of this tale that have been put to film. But this rendition was not very good and not because it deviated so extremely from the source material but mostly because it didn't make sense and had some jarringly gigantic plot holes. Not to mention that the final reveal was a bit lame and again made no sense to what we have seen of Dracula's character. I have to say though that the first two episodes had me going and where it really started to go bad was at the end of the second episode and if they just would have remained in Victorian times I think this had a very good shot of being amongst some of the best renditions. Sadly it was not to be and just ended up being a vehicle for a boatload of silly yet quite clever vampire quips, that, sprinkled here and there would have been OK but they went a bit overboard with them. For any hardcore Dracula fan, it may be worth watching but definitely not a must-see.
