侯德仕（马德钟 饰）出生于黑道家族，却考取了调解员资格证，成为了靠舌头吃饭的调解专家。律师欧阳继（李思捷 饰）是侯德仕的好友亦是竞争对手，极度理性的他习惯于用法律解决一切问题，两人因为信念不同常常吵闹不休，欧阳继的父亲欧阳边（黄光亮 饰）在矛盾之中往往偏袒侯德仕，这让欧阳继愤愤不平。
