Discuss M*A*S*H

( Kim ll Sung committed mass+murder and started the whole Korean War. He was never mentioned on Mash!)

There was not that many VCR's in 1981 (though of course they existed then ( I remember a 1980 TV Guide with a movie video tape offer)). But Mash was playing on local TV stations while it still was also on prime time. The humorous eps often played on the local TV stations while the very, very dull drab later eps were on prime time. If you were a kid or a just a very casual adult viewer to Mash you somehow may not have conceived of which was a prime time ep or which a rerun ep (as stations sometimes ran Mash reruns at very nearly 8 PM). You may have tuned in to the prime time ep (after seeing a funny rerun ep a week before)expecting laughs and getting zero of them. Remember what I just explained to you when I write my "Kim ll Sung never mentioned on Mash" phrase. I know what I am talking about!

PS It has been said about Mash that it is the one show that went from being very hilarious to just being! Also! In 1981 Betamax was a hit way to record TV programs.
