Why do celebs feel they need to be fashionistas? I mean, really- was there a clamoring for only what HE could make?

I think some here have long been clamoring for a peek at Paevey's family jewels.

I think we should start a petition to get this guy to appear on that survival show Naked And Afraid.. He seems to be the outdoors type already.

Don't even mention that show, the very existence of that show pisses me off.

That show is on the Discovery Channel, a channel which used to run educational programs such as documentaries about nature or astronomy and is now devoted solely to crappy 'reality' programs, like 'Naked and Afraid'. The Discovery Channel is merely the most recent cable network that started out showing quality, intelligent, high brow programming that went directly to the gutter and never came out.

Before the death of the Discovery Channel, there was The Learning Channel (once a channel that lived up to its name, now endless crappy 'reality' programs), A&E (which at one time was known as the 'Arts and Entertainment' network, and actually showed stuff like operas and ballets, but which today show, guess what? Crappy 'reality' programs), and then there was The History Channel, which went through several iterations, at first it showed serious history documentaries, often about World War II (which is why we used to call it 'The Hitler Channel'), then started showing crazy documentaries about conspiracy theories, and today shows only, guess what? Crappy 'reality' programs.

Even PBS doesn't show the kind of high brow stuff they used to specialize in very much anymore, there is still American Masters, and the occasional Ken Burns documentary, but that's about it. There just simply is no market for quality.

Even Animal Planet started airing junk like “Blood Lake: Attack of the Killer Lampreys” in 2014. Bravo used to have acclaimed films and now it is pretty much the LGBT reality show channel. And forget about AMC or American Movie Classics. They have been airing Halloween sequels for years. Has Turner Classic Movies sold its soul yet?

You are probably right in everything you believe. That being said, if he was to appear nude on a show that you didn't like, would you make an exception and watch??

Why the hell would I want to see any man naked?

I recall about 12 years ago when the History Channel aired a doc on the history of concrete. I knew that cable had nothing to offer after seeing that.

I've been pretty shocked at the change in programming with some of these channels, especially The History Channel. I watch TMC all the time and there has been no change in quality that I can see. I don't think they could get away with changing it because their mission as a channel is very narrow and focused, to present quality films from yesteryear. They've stuck to that. They do have a rather weird Wine Club going on, not sure what that's all about.

AMC has had some great original TV series, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, The Killing, Halt and Catch Fire, and the one about zombies (not into zombies). Not sure what they're doing now; time to check it out again.

Still like PBS. This is where I tell you that I'm also a Bravo fan, but I figure that since I watched Victoria last night on PBS, I can now admit to enjoying The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

Looks like Ryan Paevey has just landed a role on the TV series Brooklyn Nine-Nine

Was it duller than their 3 hour documentary on watching paint dry?
