Carly's friend from the 90's is Shiloh's accomplice? Or did the writers just recycle the name?

Yes, I am. Carly was one of my favorite characters back in the Sarah Brown days so I actually paid attention to the people she interacted with and remember their names. When Spinelli said the name Lorraine Miller today, I almost jumped out of my skin. I thought she was long forgotten.

I don't actually remember a character by that name

I remember Lorraine. She was played by Emma Caufield who also was on the 5th or 6th season of Beverly Hills 90210 as a love interest for Brandon.

I remember Lorraine! It doesn’t look like it’s the same actress playing her (Emma Caufield played Lorraine in 96/97) unfortunately but still it’s very cool if GH is bringing back Lorraine.

Lorraine was a nurse at Mercy Hospital and knows all the dirt on Carly’s schemes re Michael. Tony Jones had a ONS with her I think

Yeah, I loved Lorraine. She had a HOT sex scene with Tony, bouncing on his lap -- like, holy crap this is daytime! She was great as Carly's equal, but less sympathetic. I have no idea why she got written out so abruptly, she could have been a memorable vixen.

Here's a clip for those who don't know. Sometimes I forget Carly was a licensed Physical Therapist. Not sure if this was ever brought up since Sarah Brown left the role

Actually I thought Lorraine was sympathetic in that Carly was always using Lorraine in her schemes on AJ and Tony but was always trying to get away with not compensating Lorraine for her trouble.

And now I feel compelled to find that scene with Tony lmao

Here’s another Lorraine scene in the meantime

I though forever-stupid Carly blabbed to her only "friend" Lorraine who then turned around and blackmailed her. Am I remembering this wrong?

I can’t remember for sure but I’m going to check. I feel like Carly was always trying to get Lorraine to do favors for free, and Lorraine always had to make sure she was compensated. I do remember Lorraine threatening to tell Bobbie who Carly was. But still Lorraine was forced to threaten blackmail only because Carly was always using her position at Mercy and jeopardizing Lorraine’s job there

Here's a 'twit' thread about her (from 2017).

I still don't remember her, but based on the scenes posted, it doesn't seem like Lorraine was Carly's 'friend', more like Lorraine was Carly's tormentor,, and indeed, I don't recall Carly ever having a female friend, Carly is the classic 'woman who hates all other women' who only has positive relationships with men.

You're right batman - I guess "friend" was the wrong word. Carly pretended to be Lorraine's friend in order to use her. Classic Carly. But somehow, Sarah Brown made Carly tolerable, even interesting and likeable.

I meant the kind of friend who precludes enemies. However, Carly does now get along fairly well with Bobbie, Joss, Kim, Laura, Sam, Stella, Kiki, Kristina, Lulu, and when convenient, Alexis and Liz. And I don't recall any catfights with Anna, Maxie, or Nina either.

It's called great acting- something beyond LW.
