I know that nobody here cares enough about Jason and Carly to care about their "marriage", including me. But I have some free time on my hands so I'll post this. Why did Jason tell Britt there is no Mrs. Morgan? There certainly is. Jason and Carly had Sonny legally declared dead. Which means there is a death certificate on file somewhere. Which means Carly was truly the "Widow Corinthos." It doesn't matter that Sonny showed up alive. Legally, he's dead. So Carly's marriage to Jason is legal and she is Mrs. Morgan. That marriage will have to be annulled and she'll have to marry Sonny for the 10th time. I'll bet the writers will skip over all of that. I don't know how Sonny legally goes about being declared undead, and I don't care.

They did skip over it. Sonny told Carly that Diane would “take care of it” and Carly just told Jason that their marriage lasted about three hours.

Oh, that must be today's episode. I haven't watched yet. I didn't miss much.

Yes, Carly said to Jason today that they must have had the shortest marriage ever at around three hours long.

In real life cases where someone comes back from the dead, if they are married, it all depends on the jurisdiction.
The really silly part is that w/o a body it's almost impossible to declare someone dead by fiat, b4 the usual 7 year period.

At least they made up a law that a person can declare their missing spouse dead before seven years if the body is missing. They didn’t even bother this time. I’m surprised PC doesn’t already have a “new marriage is invalid if the spouse is alive” law.
