New GH theme song opening

Not only did they get new pics for the theme opener but GH got a whole new theme song that really gets the adrenaline flowing. Only bad thing, it's nothing catchy you can hum in your mind. Just another take of the last one they had.
Makes me wonder if new fans see it, they'll think "w0w, what's all this excitement?" then find the show to be complete crap.
Not sure which day this began since I missed Monday & Tuesday's episodes. Wednesday was my first to see of it.
They seemed to have characters in Wednesday's theme song that weren't in the episode: Austin, Elizabeth, Britt, Sasha, Brando, Shawn, Victor, Esme, Drew, Ava, Nikolas

You're right. The new theme song is nothing memorable. As I sit here writing, I can't remember this new one or the one immediately before it, but I came right up with the classic theme song which ran for years, no problem. I actually wish they would go back to it. I am very grateful that they've kept the opening image of the hospital which is somewhat sentimental to me. As most of you already know, it's the beautiful art deco hospital, formerly known as L.A. County General Hospital, now known as Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center (LAC/USC). I visited that hospital several times in the 1970s-1980s, not as a patient, but visiting friends who were attending nursing school there. I even worked in one of the outlying buildings on the campus for a short time. Beautiful, impressive building.

YES, it is a beautiful historic building. Near the USC Health Sciences campus where I once worked for a while . I loved going into that neighborhood, bustling with all kinds of activity.
As for the show's updated pics and theme song, I believe that started on Monday. I really like it, even if it feels like something more for a primetime series. There has been a different set of pics of the contract cast each day, not exactly connected to who is appearing in the given episode.

Funny I sit here trying to even recall the last theme song they've had the past few years and can't even recall the tune in my head.
The only one that flashes through my mind is the jazzy one with the saxophone from the 1990s thru early 2000's where the cast is posing with movements.

The montage of characters is fine, if a little too fast to really get a good look. But the theme stinks, they need to go back to Dave Koz's sax theme from the 90s - early 2000s...spice it up some if they feel the need, but get back to the classic theme instead of this collection of random notes they've been using.

The opening from the mid 90s to early 2000s was one that exec producer Wendy Riche commissioned when she was trying to update the show after Gloria Monty's last (disastrous) stint. It used a tune called 'Faces of the Heart' by musician Dave Koz. It did become a classic...but it never felt right to me. I never associated the sounds of smooth jazz with a hard-hitting medical/mob drama.
I like the sense of urgency and importance that Valentini's new theme conveys. There does seem to be a trend to overly criticize the show today because social media allows us to post (harsher) opinions so easily. But I am loving the show right now, despite a few things that could be refined...and this latest update is more than acceptable to me. My only small gripe is that some of the performers' images in the opening (men as well as women) look a little too airbrushed. But that's a tiny quibble. For the most part, I like it.

I haven't seen Spencer or Cameron in any of the new openings yet (Only seen Monday, Wednesday & Thursday's themes.)
Saw Esme but not the guys.
I do agree with Kathy though. I liked the music to the last theme opening better than this new one mainly because it was more catchy ... although I can't remember it off the top of my head. lol
