Okay so on the Monday May 9th episode, we learned that the full name of Esme's nanny is Maggie Fitzgerald and she lives in London. This information appeared on the outside of an envelope addressed to Esme in Port Charles.

Provided we see this character on screen later, who would you pick to play the part?

My choice would be Juliet Mills...yes, I know she is 80...a tip of the hat to her Nanny and the Professor role, possibly bringing a bit of camp with shades of her performance as Tabitha on Passions. Juliet Mills also played Joan Collins' cousin on Dynasty for a few episodes, and was the woman in England who had helped raised Amanda (Catherine Oxenberg).

I figure we will see Maggie show up to help Esme when Esme becomes pregnant with Nikolas' child.

It has to be someone likable, to help humanize Esme. What say you...?

Fran Drescher of The Nanny can do drama and come off far more menacing to Esme if needed. If she can fake an accent from the Bronx so well, she can probably do a British one as well ... although we see no sign of Esme having one.

I can see Esme idolizing and striving to be like a character like Fran.

Her co-star Charles S has done so well at proving he's far beyond his talents of their former TV series. I'm sure Fran could as well.

Fran would definitely need to apply herself to be quite different than her Nanny character but I think she could pull it off.

I guessed awhile back it would be Holly who could be revealed to be Esme's mother. That is if someone other than Ryan is her biological father. The letters don't mention him by name.

I didn't watch today but just read a recap. So Spencer found pills along with the letters? Hopefully he palmed one and will have it analyzed.

He did pocket one.

I have one more theory because it's usually more fun than watching. Helena could have faked Courtney's death and sent her away to London. She may have changed her name &/or wiped her memory. If she wiped her memory then Ryan could still be Esme's father. If Courtney was there willingly, for whatever reason, and changed her name then she may believe Esme, switched, is the baby she had and Nikolas being the "biological father" of the letters.

Drescher's from Queens and so is my sister and they talk similarly- my sis a bit less nasal. It's not fake.

They showed the envelope with Maggie’s full name and her London address a month ago. But the last one was addressed to Esme at the European boarding school. Now she is receiving them to a PO Box in Port Charles so we know Maggie is still alive.

I figure we will see Maggie show up to help Esme when Esme becomes pregnant with Nikolas' child.

I think Maggie is Esme’s mother. Somehow Maggie knows that Esme’s father is dangerous and living in New York. She took care of Esme after her adoptive parents died. Esme cried while reading one of the letters and claims her parents are dead.

Courtney?! That's too far, Jonszy. Too far. imp

Now this I can get behind.

But I think that if Maggie is in fact her mother, it won't be revealed at first. Maggie will undoubtedly show up in Port Charles and just be regarded as Esme's former nanny. If she also turns out to be Esme's mother, that won't come out till much later...probably a year or so later. They are going to tell the story with Willow and Nina first, then later they would get to who Esme's mother is.

Again I think Esme will get pregnant with Nikolas' baby and Maggie will arrive to help her through the pregnancy. During those months we will learn that Maggie knows Ryan (if Ryan is Esme's father).

I don't recall us ever getting any names for Esme's adoptive parents. But I guess that is not as important as Maggie herself and Ryan.

I assume Mr. and Mrs. Prince.

I didn't watch today but just read a recap. So Spencer found pills along with the letters? Hopefully he palmed one and will have it analyzed.

Why would he need to have it analyzed when the prescription name & strength is all on the bottle?

When the pharmacist handed it to Esme last year, she was told she needed consultation to the medicine because it was such a strong dosage but she refused.

All the information should be on the pill bottle.

It's meant to add tension but it comes off stupidly- and why wd Esme keep the bottle?

Also I think the nanny or whomever will reveal that Esme is NOT Ryan's kid and this will come in Esme's rehab phase where we learn she was abandoned, abused, etc.

I read that info wasn't on the bottle. Even if it was the pills might not go with that particular bottle.

I'd wondered why they suddenly made a point to mention her again, probably nothing.
