That sucks. I really liked Scotty’s romance with Liesl.
Instead of writing out a veteran character, they should get rid of pointless characters like Marshall and Cody.

Didn't he jump the gun back in December 2021 by suggesting the same thing...only that turned out to be an extended leave over the holidays, where he was just gone for two and a half months?
I kind of think he and Tristan Rogers like to rile up the viewers on social media to force the writing team to include them more in the storylines.
I really don't see Frank Valentini getting rid of the character since they can easily use him in Ava's various legal-related stories...and unless Liesl would also be written out, I think they will still use Scott with her stories.
Not to mention when they get around to addressing Bobbie's death after the writers strike, they will undoubtedly have to include Scott for that.

I'm trying to figure out how he's been written out during a time when there's no writing going on due to the writer's strike and the fact that he's recurring anyway.

I just read on "Kin Shriner" on Facebook that he has been written out. The post was by Shriner himself. Let me just say that I hope none of this true. I love Scotty. The character has a HUGE presence on the show, is a legacy, and is much loved. I declare that Kin Shriner should never be allowed to retire.

I've loved Scotty from day one when he was with Laura and I was like 8 years old LOL. I can't say he made me gay, but I never understood anyone choosing Luke over hotty Scotty!

I've been watching pretty much from day 1 and I have never understood Luke's appeal. He even creeped me out a little. I wonder if other viewers felt that way. I guess it's a tribute to the writers that they could pull that pairing off. So sleazy. As you all have probably guessed, I am pretty much a Robert Scorpio girl. No way would our Robert ever take advantage of a young girl on the greasy floor of a disco. No way. NO. Never. Nuh-uh!

I'm a Robert fan too But he isn't a saint by any means. Although other than Liesel (to which I will say, you go Robert!), he generally doesn't attack women.

As for Scotty, NEVER liked his character (he is a bit of a whiner) & IMHO, Shriner is a horrible actor. Yes I know I'm a horrible person for saying that.
