Hi, we lock entries when we have confirmed that the data is correct. The reason for that is mainly to avoid sabotage, but also to avoid situations where users change content back and forth.
With that said, there is always a chance that some data could have been incorrectly locked. What is the change you want to make here?
Example: The Monuments Men and Silence of the Lambs (italian versions) overviews are too much longer, so the text cannot be all visible in the media my server screen. Sometime the content is not about only the plot but useless informations.
I did several time little corrections shortening the text for this reasons.
Thank you for the answer.
I actually need something unlocked. The American tv show called "Married At First Sight". The run time is locked at 1 hour and 30 minutes but the show is only 60 minutes. Can this be unlocked, or can you changed it?
On Independence Day the translated title is missing, but the field is locked. Please add Independece Day there, so that the movie disappear on the missing translations/missing title page on the contribute section of TMDB.
The title of "Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation" should be "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation", the difference is difficult to spot, but the first uses UNICODE "EN DASH", and the second uses "HYPHEN-MINUS". This causes all kinds of weird problems when using the API, since the title here and in IMDB is just subtly different.
I've checked http://www.missionimpossible.com/ , and there doesn't seem to be a canonical form, and "HYPHEN-MINUS" seems to be the most used form elsewhere.
@lineker: Thanks, when I was checking up on your changes, I discovered the same also applies to the previous Mission Impossible film, Ghost Protocol. I'm wondering if this is a widespread phenomena. First time I encountered it though, and my movie collection is not insignificant at more than 1400 movies.
The movie's title is written in traditional Tamil wording whereby it can be written as the usual Roman wordings however, it's locked. Appreciate if this can be unlocked as well to update properly. The link is https://www.themoviedb.org/movie/382736?language=en-US

Sure.
I shortened one of your overviews even more since we prefer to not have the actor's names in the overview. Thanks.

There should be no translated title as it is the same as the original. Or what translation do you mean exactly?

@bfg1981: I agree. Original title changed. The old original title added as an alternative.
