Let me say first off. This is not a totally great movie. By no means. But it does have a few ultra-great scenes. Fist great scene is the opening. We are shown the world/mind of God. It is very quiet one, and a highly intriguing bit when lightning strikes and God says something like "Not now. I'm thinking!". If He's the creator does He not control the lightning? I will in later postings tell of the next two ultra-great beyond belief scenes. Now as to the second part of my posting title.
In 2014 it became an established scientific fact that water is older than the Sun in the sky. This agreed with Genesis Chapter One/Verse One when it reads how darkness was on the face of the deep and God's spirit hovered over the WATERS! A few days and passages later God will make the Sun/ Check Discover magazine Sep. 2014 for more on water older than Sun. This and stuff like round Earth hanging on nothing show how scientifically accurate beyond belief and proved it is a big message sent by something outside science as we understand it!
Check great book by Ray Comfort at amazon on subject. Book is called "Scientific facts in the Bible". It will show a lot of incredible scientific accuracy in the Good Book!

Second great scene. When the kid watches The Tonight Show and God rather than Johnny Carson comes out from behind the curtain

Third great scene--when the kid, Tracy, watches the Tonight Show again hoping God will come out of the curtain and instead Johnny does himself!

The Tonight Show theme heard in this film was written by legendary singer/songwriter Paul Anka. Anka had a hit song with "Adam and Eve" about the Eden couple. Coincidence?
PS Just like the Bible stated a lot happened in human creation in the Mesopotamian region in very ancient times. Neanderthals met modern humans there and more.

Go to youtube and type in "Paul Anka-Adam and Eve" and then listen to his great Biblical pop song!

Johnny Carson did not, apparently, shoot footage for this. IMDb does not mention him as being in the movie. Stock footage of the Tonight Show.

Best moments of film are often in darkly-lit rooms.

Little consistency between this and film one outside of the Almighty character in both.

Not one of the 3 best scenes but a dark night and good scene had the Lord and Tracy riding in a motorcycle.

I wonder why the director excelled at darkly-lit scenes.

I guess God is the central character because He is creator of all. But He denies to Tracey that He got her folks back together.

When the film is in broad daylight it pretty much seems TV-sitcomy!
